There are two ways you can use the secure clip. Peg it into the ground or anchor it around a tree/post. Designed for use with our hemp leads.
PEG INTO THE GROUND
1. Attach your lead to your dog's harness or collar.
2. Peg the Secure Clip O ring into the ground using the 2 x included pegs at opposite angles (always peg into solid ground, and tug to test it is secure)
3. Clip the Stainless Steel carabiner onto the handle of your lead.

ANCHOR AROUND A STATIONARY OBJECT (no pegs required)
1. Attach your dog lead to your dog's harness or collar.
2. Clip the Stainless Steel carabiner onto the handle of your lead.
3. Wrap the secure clip around a pole or tree and attach the O ring to the carabiner, making a loop. Give it a tug to test it's secure.
* Always ensure you are using appropriate pegs. The Supa Peg hi-tensile pegs included are great for grass, hard dirt or clay. This style of peg won't hold in sand or very soft ground.
* We don't believe in 'tethering'. This product is designed to be used for short lengths of time and only under supervision. Always make sure your dog has access to clean drinking water and shade, and the lead reach is a safe distance from danger, e.g. roads.
Don't be fooled by the naturally light colour of our products. Hemp is naturally stain resistant and sheds dirt much easier than most textiles!
Hand Wash
In cold water with gentle, natural soap and leave to dry in the sun.
Saltwater & Mud
Our 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel hardware is extremely resilient to corrosion from salt water and mud; however, we recommend rinsing now and then to ensure the inner springs stay clear of any buildup.
IMPORTANT - Use only gentle detergents and no softener. Standard detergents contain harsh chemicals that can damage the natural fibres causing them to break down. Our favourites are Koala Eco, Kin Kin, Dr Bronner and Eco Store.
Hemp fibre has an extremely high tensile strength and one of the highest breaking strains you will find, and that's why it's our choice for the safety of your pets!
It's durable, long-lasting, hypoallergenic, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, moisture wicking and odour resistant.
It's also one of the most sustainable resources available. From the soil healing properties and air purifying ability to the high yield crops and the multitude of everyday items that can be made using it.
Our ethically sourced hemp is grown organically with no pesticides or herbicides and very little water. It's a great all-natural alternative to synthetic webbing. Learn more
